Overview:
The Techbridge mission is to break the cycle of generational poverty through the innovative use of technology to transform nonprofit and community impact. We fulfill our mission by providing nonprofits that are engaged in poverty alleviation with improved capabilities, data, and operations; enhancing agency collaboration through data and resource sharing; and improving collective action among communities through performance metrics, shared outcomes, and insightful analytics. Techbridge works to give people the best chance of avoiding poverty through technology enhancements that build capacity and facilitate collaboration within communities. Providing technology support for nonprofits improves their opportunities for increased operational capacity and creates an effective pathway for the communities these nonprofits serve to become more stable.
The Community Impact team at Techbridge serves as outward representatives of the Techbridge mission, value proposition and services. This role reports to the Vice President of Community Impact Officer and is responsible for cultivating, developing, leading, and closing new opportunities with nonprofit customers. This role is highly visible and leads Techbridge’s efforts across our four focus areas: hunger, homelessness, legal support, and workforce development, but is the inhouse expert on legal support and our Justiceserver product. Equally significant to this role is deep expertise and established relationships with legal service organizations, law firms, legal aid, and civil and legal organizations.
The Director will work with, steward, and increase our work with nonprofits, foundations, and community collaboratives. Many of them are civil legal service organizations due to our expertise in the legal case and pro bono management arena. The Director is an active thought leader and business development strategist who serves as co-product owner for Techbridge’s JusticeServer platform.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and has deep experience with the ever-evolving legal landscape. The Director possesses strong relationship leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong customer success values. As a member of the Community Impact team, the Director prospects, develops leads, and closes new opportunities. The Director will have an annual $$ revenue goal and will work alongside the Vice President and other members of the team to achieve that target. They also lead with integrity and transparency, enjoy collaborating on idea development and implementation, and effectively uses outcome-based decision-making. They work with high-level executives while understanding the needs of those in poverty and have demonstrated a commitment through their past work, advanced education, and/or personal experience.
Business Development, Sales & Strategy
The Director leads business development for our legal support focus and is responsible for sales of our Justicerserver product and all other technological solutions that fall under legal and civil support to nonprofit customers
The Director is responsible for strategic engagement and focuses on external relationships and preparedness for business development
Defines our growth strategic roadmap/strategy in partnership with product & delivery teams in the Justiceserver space and other offerings
Director must possess business acumen and can deliver on building a sales and business development strategy
Creates, implements, and delivers a business development strategy annually
Develops key deliverables for internal and external audiences such as narratives and presentations that articulate growth opportunities, market potential, and business capabilities, and are aligned with the overarching strategy by leveraging market and competitive intelligence, independent research and analysis of data, organizational resources, stakeholders and business owners
Develops and provide presentations to prospective clients, and other strategic partners
Attends and represents the organization at relevant conferences, panels, and summits
Develops and maintain client relationships, specifically within public and private entities, legal service organizations, legal aid, legal agencies, civil service organizations, law firms, probono orgs and collaboratives, to support of developing and maturing strategic partner/customer relationships and selection of strategic relationships
Tracks, identifies and adds qualified prospects to sales pipeline, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date information for all customer contacts in Salesforce
Leads internal readiness for the proposal in partnership with the Product team
Leads relevant sections of RFP responses and contribute to the response team’s understanding of our broader needs and strategy for the development of the overall response
Conducts ongoing market research and identify/ research potential clients strategically aligned with our growth objectives

Demonstrates expertise of the federal government, legal industry and competitive landscape for new opportunities
The Director will possess diplomacy, an ability to function at high productivity levels and able to influence and build consensus to achieve goals
This position will also drive the internal preparation and will be the intersection for the team and external partners

Customer Success
Connect with nonprofits to discover their technology and data needs and propose solutions to meet those needs
This role will be responsible for cross-functional and cross-coordination across the organization to support opportunities with the new, active and returning nonprofit customers
This position will work directly with the Delivery team, Consultants, Project Managers, Finance team, and Executive Leadership ensuring that we develop and execute upon distinct opportunities, both new and reoccurring that align with our business and growth strategies and key priorities to facilitate business and market development for Justiceserver and other tech offerings.
Coordinate with product and solutions teams to assist in driving strategies and solutions with cross functional expertise to meet customer needs
Support development of key differentiators aligned to customers needs and priorities
Contributes to the planning, coordination, development and facilitation of simultaneous work streams and action plans that drive toward agreed upon design or solution in support of Techbridge’s overall growth strategy
Required Qualifications:
7+ years managing customer facing teams with nonprofits, public sector, companies, law firms, legal and civil support agencies and organizations, and the federal, state and city government
5+ year business development experience, sales and post-sales experience
Experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within a nonprofit or mission driven technology organization
Proven ability to lead all sales efforts to engage new customers, prospect, cultivate, lead gen, discovery, proposal, implementation and post sales support
Advanced Salesforce product knowledge
Advanced Microsoft product knowledge
Strong background in technology with experience managing technical projects and teams
Demonstrated ability to handle customer escalations effectively and manage high-priority client relationships.
Data driven
Ability to communicate with non-technical customers in their own language
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to negotiate solutions to complex issues that satisfy the needs of a diverse group of constituents.
Passionate about producing high-quality work and customer delight
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Successful track record of leadership as it relates to building collaboration and consensus between disparate groups; a leader who can gain buy-in from his/her organization around cohesive execution strategies.
Ability to build and sustain excellent relationships cross-functionally and at multi-levels internally, and also with partners and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree; MA, MBA or MPA
Advanced Salesforce CRM Experience
10+ years of experience and established relationships in the legal industry
Proven leader with experience leading and driving biz dev and sales strategy with confidence
